Editorial policy
Rising News Analysis aims to make public arguments easier to inspect. We distinguish claims from established information, describe uncertainty plainly and correct material errors when they are identified.
Accuracy and context
Writers should check names, quotations, dates and the context of material they rely on, and should not present an inference as a verified fact. A source supports only what it can reasonably establish. When evidence is incomplete, disputed or outside the scope of a piece, the wording should make that clear. Analysis should represent the argument it discusses fairly before examining its weaknesses.
Independence
Editorial decisions belong to the publication. Contributors and partners may propose subjects, but partnership does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or editorial approval. We do not accept payment in exchange for an editorial conclusion.
Corrections
Readers can report a specific error through the Contact page. We review correction requests and, when a material error is confirmed, amend the relevant text and make the nature of the correction clear. Differences of interpretation are considered, but are not automatically factual errors.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and other partner material are clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, that use is identified. Illustrations are not evidence for the claims discussed in an article.
An argument is more than its loudest sentence
We slow down public claims to see what they say, what supports them and what remains uncertain. Context is not a verdict; it is a way to read with care.
